Would you like to make some great photos of the night sky? Join Ron Risman and me in Las Vega, NV for a timelapse workshop. The event is being held in conjunction with this year's NAB conference. This is a chance to capture breathtaking time lapse sequences. This hands on workshop will let you capture both day and night time lapses in one of the most beautiful locations in Nevada.
The workshop is open to photographers and cinematographers of all skill levels. This day-long adventure lets you get some great shooting in before a busy NAB. Explore a scenic ghost town and make beautiful images of the night sky.
You'll learn how to shoot challenging sequences like sunsets and night sky shadow lapses lit only by the waxing moon. The park officially closes at sunset, but we have special permission to stay in the park and continue shooting after dark.

If you fly a drone, quadcopter, model airplane, or UAS in the United States airspace, the Federal Aviation Administration wants you to register your device. These new regulations went into effect today, December 21, 2o15. While the process of restoring takes less than 5 minutes, there are a lot of hidden details buried within the numerous government documents about UAS registration.
I've dug deep into every document that I could find and have put together a comprehensive look at the new regulations. If you fly, or are thinking about buying a drone I'd strongly suggest watching this tutorial.

It costs only $5 to register your UAS and the process is simple and web-based. Registration is free for the first 30 days. Some things you'll need before you get started:

Your registration is valid for three years. Once you receive a registration number, you can use it on all of your unmanned aircraft if they meet the online registration criteria.

There’s a really dynamic tool in Adobe After Effects called Colorama and in this course I’ll show you how it works. If you like the gradient map effect in Photoshop, you’re really going to like Colorama, which maps the gradient to a circle. Where this tool really shines is when you put it onto an Adjustment Layer.

Audio can make or break a production. If you have poor audio your audience will tune out almost immediately and nothing good will come out of it, especially when conducting an interview.
